Craps is a dice game where in players wage on the outcome of the roll of the dice. Two types of waging is available, one is the players can wage against each other or with the Bank that is the Casino Craps.
Four of the casino employees are required to run the Craps table. A Boxman is the one who will guard the chips and supervise the dealers. Base Dealers are the ones who collect and pay bets. A Stickman is the one who takes the bets in the center of the table and also directs the dice towards the thrower.
Every new craps game starts with a new shooter. Shooter with the intention of establishing a point makes come-out-roll. If the result of throwing the dice is a 2 or 3 or a 12 it is "craps" which ends the round, and other players loose their pass line bets. A "natural" is the one if the shooters come-out roll is of 7or 11, which results in a win for pass line bets. In either of this, the come-out roll continues for the same thrower or shooter until he/she establishes a point. If 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 are the point numbers rolled on the come-out, then this number becomes the "point" and now the come-out roll is over. Now an "On" button is moved by the dealer to the point number which enables the point number to all the players present at the table. Shooter now continues the rolling of the dice for the point number or for a seven. Say the shooter succeeds in rolling the point number, the result will be a win for the pass line and say, the shooter rolls a seven, the pass line loses. The round is ended with seven-out and the dice are passed clockwise to the next player who wants to become the new shooter.
If the point number is "Off" then the table is said to be in the come-out round and if it is "On" then the table is in the point round. A player should check with the dealer to pass/don’t pass bet to be placed. So if the next player does not wish to be a shooter he/she should first check with the dealer to see if the button is "On" on any of the point numbers.
The dealers make pay outs and collect losing bets between the dice rolls. Betting is not allowed once the dice is given to the shooter.
There are different types of bets:
Pass line bet: If the first roll is a natural that is a 7 or 11 you win and if it is 2, 3, 12 (craps) you lose. If a point is rolled, to win it should be repeated before a 7 is rolled, if not you lose.
Don't Pass Line Bet: This is the opposite of the pass line bet.
Come Bet: The same pass line bet rules apply. The only difference is that you can place this bet once the point on the pass line has been determined. You win if natural and lose if a craps is rolled.
Don't Come Bet: This is the opposite of the come bet.
Tips for playing the craps game are to play the come and the line, either don’t pass or pass. These two bets provide the best odds to the player. Last but not the least: "increase your bets on wins, do not double up on losses".
